Kurt Vollmerhause, from QUT, gave a demonstration of Librarything – the social networking site for bibliophiles.
Kurt showcased the basics as well as other features like widgets and the exciting LTFL service which providesĀ OPAC (read library catalogue) enhancements such as tagging and options to track down related editions.

I can add that since the presentation several new LTFL sites have reportedly joined the fold, including two Australian libraries. (I’d really like to hear some of their impressions, wouldn’t you?)
By the way, the LibraryThing wiki (http://www.librarything.com/wiki/) includes a definitive list of LTFL sites, and it’s worthwhile monitoring the official LT blogs if you’re interested in tracking these developments.
